Recycling Instructions

REFUSE REMOVAL AND RECYCLING at Model Village
  • Garbage and recycling containers are located behind building D. 
  • Do not leave large items or electronic items.  Marco Island has a very nice recycling center located at 990 Chalmer Dr, Marco Island, FL 34145
  • Please remember to ALWAYS CLOSE THE GATE
*  When you place the right materials in the right container, it benefits you and the community, and protects the environment. When you place the wrong materials in a recycling container, it can contaminate otherwise good recyclables, injure workers and result in additional charges to your account. Waste Management can refuse to pickup containers containing unacceptable materials, which may result in a contamination charge.
 
ALL BOXES MUST BE BROKEN DOWN!  MAKE BOXES FLAT-This includes pizza boxes, soda boxes, Amazon boxes - ALL BOXES!  This will provide additional room for all who enjoy Model Village.  Pick up days are Friday and Monday.  Please plan accordingly, to your best ability, to ensure a tidy refuse area.

          Recycle all empty bottles, cans, paper and cardboard
          Keep food and liquids out of your recycling
          Keep plastic bags out of your recycling
